Thanks for reading hannahjdavies.com. I’m Hannah and I’m almost 18, so I will be finishing school in 2011.

I decided a few years ago that I would start a blog in order to write about music as well as fashion, lifestyle and current affairs once a month. I didn’t realise how much fun it would be, or that I would end up freelancing for some amazing publications. Should you wish to hire me, I have experience interviewing a number of artists (full press credits avaliable on request, summary below) and I can touch type approx. 90 wpm. I can use a PC or a Mac competently, and my most-used programmes are Photoshop, Spotify and Skype. I don’t take myself very seriously, but if I were to go on Mastermind then my specialist subject would either be films of the 1980s or defunct fashion labels. My last bit of work was as a marketing intern, and I also have experience as an editorial assistant and proof-reader for a legal journal as well as two stints at NME. I’ve probably done other stuff as well which I cannot remember, so just ask. Sometimes I get really nice fanmail – such as that from current.com – and sometimes I don’t. It’s all good. A fun fact about me is that I was once in a music video, and fyi my favourite artists include Elliott Smith, Blonde Redhead, Blur, Simple Minds, Madonna and Radiohead. x x x x

PRESS
To date, I’ve worked with NME.com, Artrocker Magazine and website a couple of times, Converse Music, Dazed Digital and a few others. I’ve also presented for Roland/Boss as part of the Roland Eye Sessions! I try and put copies of all the work I’ve done in the relevant month’s blog post, however if you would like a separate list of all of my online and print credits please ask.
I’m still at school, but I’m available for hire, too (see my Contact page for more). Hannahjdavies.com is a proud member of the Vice Blog Network, in case you missed the badge of honour I have on my homepage. You can read more about it here. Yes, I linked because they mentioned my name. I was also a blog partner for The Young Writers Award 2010, in association with Little Tiger Press.

Hey Hannah! Just wanted to commend you on your witty, perceptive and entertaining journalism! I’m an aspiring writer too-yearning for fashion editorial work!

I bless this interweb procrancianation.
Hannah, with the greatest of respect; the background and font colours is hardly considered, and the content of your work resembles an extremely unimaginable and random format of language. It simply lacks substance, relayed in a clear and concise manner. Your website needs dramatic improvement and I wish you all the best.
